Modified HONDA NSX With a Roof Cargo Box for Camping in Japan

Road trips have always been the best way to make good memories, and it doesn’t really matter what car you have, as long as it’s running smoothly. While majority of drivers prefer crossovers, SUVs, and Minivans for this kind of activity, the owner of this 1991 Honda NSX decided to break this cliche and head off on a long camping trip around Japan in his modified sports car.
That’s right, NSX is a more appropriate car for track days and spirited runs on the city outskirts, with the sole purpose of providing an exhilarating driving experience, but taking into account the flawless quality of Japanese roads, there’s nothing wrong with taking it on a cross country road trip.
Storage space may be a problem, though. Being a classic mid-engine car with the famous C30A 3.0L DOHC VTEC motor, there’s barely any storage space available for two people to pack their belongings for days on the road, so a cargo box seemed like the only available solution to address it.
“Being a classic mid-engine car with the famous C30A 3.0L DOHC VTEC motor, there’s barely any storage space available for two people to pack their belongings for days on the road”.
Of course, it has certain drawbacks like additional weight, the elevated center of gravity, the difficulty of reaching things in the trunk, and, most definitely, the wind noize, but stunning looks and spacious storage space fully outweigh all of them.
“This NSX didn’t look average by any means, but the stylish color-matched cargo box by Thule has definitely improved the WOW-factor”.
Featuring a sporty stance, along with a wide-body kit with TAITEC front bumper and a racing GT500 Wing in a contrasting black color, this modded Acura NSX didn’t look average by any means, but the stylish color-matched cargo box by Thule has definitely improved the WOW-factor for anyone seeing the car in person.
